Ekiti State University Admission Requirements
If you want to apply for admission to study at Ekiti State University, you need to understand that there are two main modes of entry namely UTME and Direct Entry.
The UTME mode involves applying through JAMB and participating in the UTME examination. After meeting the JAMB cut-off score and successfully passing EKSU’s post-UTME screening, candidates are considered for admission.
Direct Entry is available for candidates who have completed advanced qualifications such as A Levels, NCE, ND, JUPEB, or a Degree in a related field. These candidates are required to apply directly through JAMB and the EKSU portal for admission.
UTME Admission Requirements
Candidates applying to Ekiti State University through JAMB must meet the following requirements:
- A minimum of 5 credits in relevant subjects, achieved in not more than two sittings.
- Ensure that the correct JAMB subject combination is selected based on the chosen course of study.
- A minimum JAMB score of 140 and abov4e is required for consideration to study at Ekiti State University.
- EKSU must be your first-choice institution during JAMB registration.
- Candidates must participate in EKSU’s post-UTME screening exercise to be considered for admission.
- Candidates must be at least 16 years old at the time of admission.
Admission Requirements for Direct Entry (DE)
Candidates applying through Direct Entry must fulfill the following criteria:-
- A minimum of 5 credits in relevant subjects, achieved in not more than two sittings.
- A’ Level/IJMB passes in two subjects related to the field of study.
- JUPEB/A’ Level passes in related subjects.
- A minimum Merit Pass is required for certificates such as NCE, ND, and other advanced-level qualifications.
- Candidates with a Degree (First Class/Second Class Upper) in a related field are eligible for Direct Entry admission.
- Direct Entry candidates must purchase the EKSU Direct Entry form via JAMB and the EKSU portal.
Once you confirm that you are qualified for admission, you can purchase the EKSU Post-UTME Form through the admission portal and apply for admission.
