The AFIT Remedial Program is currently accepting applications, offering a pathway to improve academic qualifications and increase your chances of future admission. AFIT Remedial Admission Requirements and Qualifications

Below are the general conditions that must be met:

• This basic program is primarily designed for candidates who were unable to gain admission into AFIT due to their UTME scores falling below the JAMB cut-off mark. However, candidates who applied to other universities may also be considered.
• Applicants with five O-level credits but deficiencies in English Language or Mathematics may still apply. However, they must register for and obtain a credit pass in the deficient subject before being considered for admission into a degree program.
• Admission will be based on the applicant’s performance and the available quota for each program. Additionally, it is important to note that the program is non-residential.

Courses-Specific Requirements

• Social and Management Sciences: Applicants must obtain at least five credits in subjects taken during the SSCE/GCE exams organized by WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, with no more than two sittings. The subjects must include the core courses related to their intended field of study.
• Candidates must have credit passes in both English Language and Mathematics to be eligible for eventual admission into any program. Among the five subjects, two must be from the Social Arts, while the remaining subjects can be selected from the Social Sciences.
• Engineering and Sciences: Applicants must have credit passes in the following subjects: English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics, within a maximum of two sittings in the SSCE/GCE exams organized by WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.

AFIT Remedial Program Duration

The program lasts for two semesters, equivalent to one academic session.
