Entry Requirements For AE-FUNAI Postgraduate Programs 2024/2025

All candidates are to meet the following requirements:-

• To be eligible for any postgraduate program at Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, applicants must have at least five (5) credit passes in WASSCE, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB in not more than two sittings.
• Applicants must also meet the specific entry criteria set by their respective departments.
• Graduates from Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, or any other institution approved by the University Senate, who meet these basic requirements, are eligible to apply

Specific Admission Requirements

Depending on the program you are interested in, check and confirm that you meet the following requirements:-

Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) Programs

• Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree from Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, or any recognized institution, with at least a Third-Class Honours.
• Candidates with a Higher National Diploma (HND) with either Upper or Lower Credit can also apply.
• Individuals with other academic qualifications deemed acceptable by the School of Postgraduate Studies and the University Senate may also be considered.

Master’s Degree Programmes

• Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, or any accredited university, with at least a Second-Class Lower Division.
• Applicants with a relevant Postgraduate Diploma from the university or another recognized institution must have at least five (5) O’ level credits and a minimum CGPA of 2.5 on a 5-point scale or 3.0 on a 4-point scale.
• Those with an unclassified first degree must have an overall score of at least 60% (equivalent to a B grade).

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Programmes

• Hold a Master’s degree in a related field from Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, or any other recognized university.
• Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5-point scale or 3.0 on a 4-point scale.
• Alternatively, candidates with a Master’s degree and a B-level grade (minimum of 60%)—provided their program included research—are also eligible for admission.

How To Apply For AE-FUNAI Postgraduate Admission Form 2024/2025

If after reading the requirements outlined above, you confirm that you are eligible for admission, follow the instructions provided below and apply for the form:-

1. Visit https://www.funai.edu.ng
2. Once on the portal select “PORTAL”.
3. Click on “2024/2025 PG Application” and enter your mobile number.
4. Submit your details and generate an invoice for the non-refundable application fee of ₦24,000.
5. Print the invoice and proceed to the bank for payment or use a debit card for an online transaction.
6. After payment, return to the portal to complete the application form.
7. Remember to print proof of payment and application.

Applicants must complete the online referee forms and ensure they are submitted as part of their application. At least one of the referees must be a former lecturer. Applications without referee reports will not be considered.

For academic transcripts, candidates should download the transcript request slip from the portal and send it to their previous institution. The institution must then forward an official copy of the transcript directly to:

Candidates must submit their completed application forms along with the required documents in a 10” x 15” brown envelope clearly labeled “PG Admission.” Submissions can be made either by post or in person during the screening exercise. These are the documents needed:-

• Completed application form
• Three (3) referee reports
• Birth certificate or age declaration
• Certificate of Local Government of Origin
• First School Leaving Certificate
• Original O’ Level results
• Bachelor’s degree certificate or statement of result
• NYSC discharge or exemption certificate
• PGD certificate (if applicable)
• Master’s degree certificate (for Ph.D. applicants)
• Research proposal (for Ph.D. applicants)
• Payment receipt for the application fee
